Community Guidelines
Last updated October 29, 2026
Glint is an invite-only learning library of short image and video lessons, operated by Fett Ventures LLC. These guidelines apply to everything on Glint: posts, submissions, stories, captions, comments, messages, usernames, profile photos and bios. By using Glint you agree to follow them.
Who can use Glint
- You must be 18 or older.
- You need an invite. Glint records who invited whom, so invite people you trust to follow these guidelines.
- One person per account. Don't pretend to be someone else, a business, or Glint staff.
- If your account is banned, don't make a new one. New accounts made to get around a ban are removed.
Never allowed
- Anything that sexualizes, exploits or endangers a child. This includes images, text, links and contacting a minor for sexual purposes. Glint removes it, bans the account and reports it to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC), as US law requires.
- Nudity and sexual content, including sexual images of adults, even with consent.
- Sharing intimate images or private information about someone without their permission, or threatening to.
- Bullying and harassment: targeting someone with insults, unwanted contact, humiliation, or encouraging others to pile on.
- Hate: attacking people based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, sex, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability or serious illness.
- Violence and threats: threats to hurt someone, praise or support for violent groups, and graphic violence.
- Promoting suicide, self-harm or eating disorders. Talking about your own struggles is allowed. If you're worried about someone, report it and Glint can send them support resources.
- Illegal goods and activity: buying, selling or arranging drugs, weapons, or other regulated or illegal items or services.
- Scams, spam and fake activity: fraud, phishing, repetitive unwanted messages, and buying or selling likes, follows or accounts.
- Other people's work that you don't have the right to share.
- False information that could cause real harm, such as fake emergencies.
How Glint enforces these guidelines
- Reports. Anyone can report a post, comment, message or account. Reports are private: the person isn't told who reported them. A reviewer looks at every report.
- Automatic checks. Glint may check new photos, video covers, captions and profile photos automatically before others see them, and may hide something while a person reviews it.
- Hidden while reviewed. Content reported for child safety, or by several different people, is hidden until a reviewer checks it. If it doesn't break the guidelines, it comes back.
- Removal and strikes. Content that breaks the guidelines is removed and usually counts as a strike for 90 days. 3 active strikes limit your account for 7 days (you can browse and like, but not post, comment, message or follow). 5 active strikes suspend it for 30 days.
- Serious violations, such as child exploitation, credible threats, or getting around a ban, can lead to an immediate suspension or permanent ban.
- Evidence. When something is reported or removed, Glint keeps a record of it for review and appeals, even if it's deleted. Content reported to NCMEC is kept for at least one year, as the law requires.
- You'll see every decision about your account, and the reason, in Account status in your profile menu.
Appeals
If you think a decision was a mistake, you can appeal it once, within 30 days, from Account status. A reviewer looks again. If the decision is reversed, your content comes back and the strike is removed. Suspended and banned accounts can appeal from the screen they see when they sign in.
Tools you can use
- Block someone so neither of you sees the other's content or can message each other.
- Restrict someone so their comments on your posts are visible only to them until you approve, and their messages go to Requests. They aren't told.
- Hidden words hide comments on your posts that contain words you choose.
- Message Requests hold messages from people you don't follow. You can also allow messages only from people you follow.
- Private account lets you approve who follows you.
If someone is in danger
If anyone is in immediate danger, call 911. In the US, you can call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, any time. Then report the content on Glint.
